The bioinformatics study course is rich of lectures and practicals teaching methods in bioinformatics and introducing in cutting edge technologies. This seminar addresses a more fundamental question: what are the foundations of science, what are the limitations of the descriptive observations and our interpretation of experimental results in a multidimensional observation space? The seminar wants to clarify a few of the basic concepts such as logic, rationale vs. intuitive interpretation. The seminar wants to discuss the question if we need an epistomology to understand biology or if we can just continue to experiment, to observe, and to interpret data the way we do.
